Dialogue 101 Brain (Intelligence) is root cause “Now & here” is nothing but “now-self” for human beings. We are making a life journey riding on the (imaginary) time train called “now”. The place we are riding on the time train called “now” is “here” from where we can look at the scenery outside of the window called past/present/future which is real time. This is “now-self” who is looking at the scenery outside of the window called past/present/future. This is “now &here” which is not looking at the scenery outside of the window called past/present/future. This is “self” who is looking at himself through the mirror, the scenery outside the window called past/present/future. If “self” is not looking at the scenery outside the window called past/present/future, then there will be no ego who is thinking as “I am”. Only we human beings have ego. Other creatures have no ego because they don’t look at the scenery outside the window called past/present/future. The reason why a dog is barking when he saw his face through the surface of water pond is that he does not recognize that is his. This is the proof that dogs have no ego. This is the identity of ego that to recognize himself by seeing reflecting self through the mirror. The identity of ego such as “mind”, “spirit” and “soul” is nothing but image of self reflecting on the mirror called past/present/future. Ego thinking of “I am” can not be born if “self” doesn’t look at past/present/future. In paradoxical way, if “self” doesn’t look at past/present/future, “self” can live at “now & here”. Then there is no “now-self”. We human beings who have the concept of death such “I shall be surely die someday” misunderstand that imagine of “self” is real self by the delusional words “surely someday”. This is the born of “now-self”. Byproduct of five senses which is dividing between self and others is “now-self”. Furthermore, this is nothing but brain (intelligence) which misunderstands that the scenery of past/present/future reflecting “now-self” is moving and “now-self” is not moving. Brain (Intelligence) misunderstands although five senses is just dividing self into others and making ego. Not only other creatures but also baby divides self into others by five senses unless they don’t have individual body. They don’t misunderstand that the scenery of past/present/future is moving and “now-self” is not moving because they have ego but don’t look at the scenery past/present/future outside of the window. They are just at “now & here”. Brain (intelligence) has something to do with whether “self” is looking at the scenery of past/present/future because we human beings have the concept of death. The reason why other creatures don’t look at the scenery of past/present/future is they don’t have the concept of death. This is the identity of brain, intelligence. Five senses are just to divide self into others. Brain is the identity which has become to know about death. Brain is nothing but cerebrum new cortex. This is the reason why I insist that intelligence is drug to promote misunderstanding.
