Dialogue 112 Root cause of misunderstanding Religion and science are all part of the same gang. They put “time” which is “past”/”present”/”future” under “light” which is the absolute (god = C (Constant), and they furthermore put “space” which is real world for human beings under “time”. As a result, all being in “space” had to be ruled by “light” and “time”. Not only religion but science also has the same idea about this. Religion put “light” into god and “time” into soul and “space” into body in different way of expression. The root cause of this misunderstanding is we believe in “past”/”present”/”future” which is “static space” as moving “real time” and moving self as “static space”. Self is nothing but “now-self” who is moving with “now” which is real “imaginary time”, and “past-self”, “present-self” and “future-self” are all image. It is only substance for each one self riding at “here” on the time train called “now”. Self who is making journey riding at “space” called “here” on the time train called “now” discover self reflecting on the glass of window and wrap the scenery outside of the window which is “space” called “past”/”present”/”future”, and finally is seeing motion picture (animation) called “past-self”, “present-self” and “future-self” as reality. Self can not understand that self reflected on the glass of window is neither “past-self”, “present-self” nor “future-self” which is outside of the window but inside the window riding at “here” in the time train called “now”. To open the curtain of the window shows “now-self” which lead him to think about “past-self”, “present-self” and “future-self”. Other creatures can live up at “now & here” not seeing only “now-self” but also “past-self”, “present-self” and “future-self” because they don’t open the curtain of the window. Whether to open the curtain of the window of the time train called “now”? To open the curtain of the window is nothing but dawn of civilization for human beings who was “newly-born monkey”. There was a film titled “A Space Odyssey” in 1968 in which the beginning of film was mentioned about the story of evolution from monkey to man called the dawn of the man. Two groups of monkey gathered at the pond to drink water. They were fighting each other to occupy the pond. A boss of group happened to take the bone of the dead by which he hit the other boss of group and he completely won. A boss who completely won recognized the newly-born powerful weapon and threw up the bone with emotion. Then the film pictured the title of “The dawn of the man” and moved into the main theme. The monkey who took the bone and won was “the newly-born monkey”. Why did he take the bone while other boss of group tried to fight unarmed? It was because he knew about death. He first had the concept of death that “I shall surely die someday” while other boss of group had not had the concept of death. He opened the curtain of the window. He first saw himself reflected on the glass of the window because he opened the curtain of the window. This was the dawn of having the concept of death. The dawn of mankind who had intelligence and misunderstanding was to know about death. To open the curtain of the window from where self can see both “now-self” as well as “past-self”, “present-self” and “future-self”. This is the root cause of misunderstanding.
