Dialogue 160 Sewer rats�f thinking �gEverything is alright even only for me!�h Modern man particularly civilized man believes in this thinking good. �gEverything is alright even only for me!�h This thinking is nothing but thinking free of whatever, and thinking free of whatever is nothing but thinking free of good or bad whatever. Thinking free of good or bad whatever is nothing but thinking of self as good and others as bad. This is nothing but utilitarianism. Therefore, �gEverything is alright even only for me!�h is as same as �geverything is not alright even only for others!�h To desire of others�f unhappy is hiding under �geverything is alright even only for me!�h To desire of self�fs happy is to desire of others�f unhappy. To desire of others�f happy is to desire of self�fs unhappy. Self and others is antinomy. It is called relative monism of utilitarianism in my book. Self and others is two aspect of the same coin which is complementary. However, this is antinomy, relative monism of utilitarianism for head face to think of good as to be taken and for tail face to think of bad as to be thrown out. This kind of thinking is completely impossible to achieve. We have to take tail face if we take head. We have to throw out tale face if we throw out head. This is essence of one coin that head and tail are complementary. The essence of dichotomy is not antinomy but complementary. However, we modern men fell into the trap of relative monism of utilitarianism that �geverything is alright even only for me!�h On the contrary, We are not aware that we love others to be unhappy. We are not aware that we must be unhappy if we love others to be unhappy. The thinking that �geverything is alright even only for me!�h is nothing but the thinking that makes self unhappy. It is sewer rats�f thinking which is waiting for their falling into abyss.
