Dialogue 377 gAwarenessh Buddha thought of something immediately after he had enlightened. gEnlightenment is not something to achieve but already attainedh. He left this world at 28 years old and enlightened at 42 years old. He was seeking for enlightened master to get ascetic discipline in order to attain enlightenment for 14 years. He mastered as perfectly as his masters. However those masters had not enlightened. They all excommunicated Buddha because he mastered more perfectly than they did. gI did my best effort. Nothing more is to be done!h Buddha gave up his life and sat under the linden tree to meditate. Immediately after, he was aware that gEnlightenment is not something to achieve but already attainedh. I said about this gawarenessh as follows. It is the identity of desire to long for untouchable thing. In another expression, You need not long for touchable thing. Touchable thing is at gnow & hereh. Furthermore in another expression, The one who longs for untouchable thing is nothing but desire, false self which is gegoh. There is no need to long for touchable thing at gnow & hereh. Therefore, It needs space for you to long for untouchable thing between you and gnow & hereh. The space is nothing but the time of gpast/present/futureh. The space is nothing but scenery (space) of gpast/present/futureh. |
