Monologue 2 Authentic human life Human society is going to rule the world of nature and this arrogance brings anxiety, agony and, finally, the fear of death to us, human beings. Everything in the world of nature exists in complete harmony, that is to say, lives in total feeling involved by the only parent, the earth. In human society only human beings consider ourselves to be individual, that is to say, live in partial view. There is no self consciousness in total feeling which means self is a part of the earth. There is self consciousness in a partial view which means self is not a part of the earth. Then why have only human beings come to have self consciousness, partial view? It has something to do with the question “Why do lives exist on the planet, the earth? We could find out that it is related to the existence of water and of sea, studying the birth and evolution of lives. Lives exist because of sea (water). Then, why was sea born on the earth? Because the earth’s gravity enables sea to exist. Gravity is related to the weight of stars; the weight of the earth is suitable for sea to exist. If the weight of the earth was a little lighter, sea would have been absorbed into the earth to disappear. If the weight of the earth was a little heavier, sea would have evaporated to disappear. The subtle earth’s gravity has enabled sea to exist; the existence of sea has enabled lives to exist. In other words, vital energies preserving lives on the earth is nothing but the earth’s gravity. Creatures living with a sense of belonging to the earth maintain the balance with the subtle earth’s gravity. Human beings living with a partial view against the earth don’t maintain the balance with the earth’s gravity. Then, why don’t human beings maintain the balance with the earth’s gravity? Because we changed our lifestyle from four-leg to two-leg. Human heads would be 50 cm above the ground if we lived with four legs; they would be 1 m 50 cm above the ground if we live with two legs, which change the influence of the subtle earth’s gravity. This change caused human beings to upset the balance with the subtle earth’s gravity, fall into a partial view from a total feeling, and give birth to self consciousness. On the other hand, the shift of the head’s position caused the subtle change of the earth’s gravity to change the structure of brain, evolve the cerebrum new cortex and, as a result, which gave intelligence to human beings. We human beings believe that intelligence makes us to evolve but do not realize that intelligence has merit and demerit. Intelligence was born to evolve due to the change from the four-leg style to the two-leg and two-hand style but the two hands are nothing but a retrogression phenomenon. It proves that four-leg animals are superior to two-leg ones in the capability to move. I, therefore, can say that intelligence born by the two-leg style is also retrogression. Intelligence has brought science and science tries to rule the earth, which could not maintain the balance with the subtle earth’s gravity. The birth of intelligence is a retrogression phenomenon in total feeling at the earth’s level and an evolution phenomenon in a partial view which has self consciousness. We must realize that anxiety, agony and, finally, fear of death that only human beings have are caused by the partial view which is nothing but schizophrenia. The cahnging from four-leg animals to two-leg ones has the merits, which made human brain evolve, and the demerits, which made two legs degenerate to two arms. As the demerit of two arms has the merit of skills, the merit of intelligence evolution has the demerit of imbalance with the earth’s gravity. If the balance with the subtle earth’s gravity which is identity of life energies is not maintained, a sense of belonging to the only parent, the earth, would be lost and the partial view of self consciousness would rise more. Anxiety, agony and finally the fear of death only human beings have are nothing but retrogression which is a demerit for intelligence. The mechanism of death is the consistency in the circular motion (birth, life, death), which is nothing but phase transition. Phase transition, as I mentioned in my book “The absolute cosmos”, is such as a transformation of liquid called water into gas called steam at 100℃Celsius, into the state of liquid (water) between 100℃ and 0℃, and into solid called ice at 0℃. The consistency in the circular motion (birth, life, death), therefore, is nothing but phase transition which means that the transformation of gas (steam) into liquid (water) at 100℃ is birth, the maintenance of the state of liquid (water) between 100℃ and 0℃ is life, and the transformation of liquid (water) into solid (ice) at 0℃ is death. It is just a molecular compound called H2O (water) whether it is gas (steam), liquid (water), or solid (ice). Human bodies are also a form of a molecular compound which never changes its component even if they die. It means that the structure of organic body simply disappears. Organizations such as nation, society, company and family is organic body and each individual as a constituent is inorganic matter. Inorganic matter as an individual never disappears even if organic body as an organization disappears. Death, therefore, is nothing but disappearance of the organization, that is to say extinction of organic body. Death is nothing but disappearance of self consciousness and has nothing to do with substantial inorganic matter since organic body is the identity of partial view of self consciousness. We human beings are living with anxiety, agony and finally the fear of death, deceived by such an image (illusion). Assuming your biological parent to be the true parent is nothing but assuming the imaginary organic world to be real. Realizing that the earth is the true parent is nothing but realizing that inorganic matter is substance. Organic body and inorganic matter. Here is the identity of death. Death is nothing but the death of organic body. Inorganic matter doesn’t die. Yuuki in Japanese is organic in English. Muki in Japanese is inorganic in English. Soshiki in Japanese is organization in English. The word ‘organization’, therefore, comes from the word ‘organic’ and the meaning of the word ‘inorganic’ is the opposite of ‘organization’. Organization is insubstantial. Nation, society, company and family are an organization and just an insubstantial concept. Inorganic, the opposite of organization, therefore, is substantial. Everything substantial doesn’t die. Everything insubstantial dies. We human beings live with the fear of insubstantial death. A way of thinking that biological parents are true parents caused the dual structure of the ruler and the ruled, the discrimination system of succession and inheritance and the society where discrimination, unfairness and wars are rampant and, at last, changed us into such an arrogant creature that declares war on the earth, the true parent. Intellectual power which has brought up science is nothing but a weapon against the earth. Human beings, a quite weak creature on the earth, came to live with two legs because of the weakness, which triggered the merits and demerits. A merit is that the weapon, intellectual power, gave us a boost to be the strongest on the earth while a demerit is that it gave us anxiety, agony and the fear of death. We have been missing the fact that intelligence and anxiety are two sides of the same coin. Buddhism Gautama Buddha founded 2,400 years ago tells us that desire for worldly things draws agony. Socrates and Plato in ancient Greece said that human being is a misunderstanding creature. We human beings, however, have been suffering from anxiety, agony and, finally, the fear of death up to now, and to make matter worse, discrimination, unfairness and wars have continued to run rampant in our society. Why is that? Because we have been missing the fact that intelligence and anxiety are two sides of the same coin. Gautama Buddha, Socrates and Plato only understood with intellect but didn’t realize that intelligence itself is the main culprit. Then, wasn’t there anyone who had realized the fact? Yes, there was. Lao Tzu in China and Diogenes in Greece seemed to realize it. They, therefore, never appeared before the public, living alone in obscurity. A true life is the world of aloneness and nobody is allowed to enter the world. So- called life, a world where others can enter, is an imaginary world. Strictly speaking, a play - so-called life - is a scene (image) consisting of a background - so-called dream - and a real stage - so-called reality; others involved in your life are just an image. We should realize that the true life is the world of aloneness where only you sit in the theatre and watch the scene in the play. If we realize that, we could find that it is the best way of living how Lao Tzu and Diogenes did. Religion such as Buddhism is meaningless however persistently Gautama Buddha taught. Philosophy is meaningless however persistently Socrates and Plato taught. We have no choice but to live alone in obscurity. Thinking more makes us aware that we were born alone, shall die alone and have no choice but to live alone in the middle of dream. Here is a key to the true life. |
