Chapter 27 Cutting-Time Scenes change in a movie. The action of cutting in filming causes the change of the scenes. This is a point of ceasing the continuity of still frame films. It shows the characteristic of image espacef. Scenes never change in substance espacee, because substance space is always a total view. They change because of a partial view. Motion is proof of the partial view. Stillness is proof of the total view. Change is proof of motion, the partial view and an image. No-change is proof of stillness, the total view and substance. Each of our views of the world (the scene) is the partial view and the image which are always changing. It is completely the same as the movie in which the scenes change at every moment. The action of cutting in filming is the birth of the concept of time caused by cutting space. The action of cutting time is the act of cutting substance espacee; the concept of time is important to create (imagine) image espacee. The action of cutting time is the act of cutting static espacee; the concept of time is important to create (imagine) motion espacee. The action of cutting time is the act of cutting the absolute cosmos; the concept of time is important to create (imagine) relative espacee. The action of cutting time is the act of cutting "static space of darkness and silence"; the concept of time is important to create (imagine) "motion space of light and sound". |
